I'm starting to get more and more disgusted with pre-packaged foods. After getting a box of crackers at the grocery store, and reading the ingredients, 7 out of 10 items I wasn't able to pronounce.
Not to mention last night I saw a girl flaunting her 'convenience' pack, of somewhat dried apples. Her big selling point was that it was only 90 calories. It was a tiny package, held maybe half an apples worth. Below is a chart on the calories in various apples and their nutrition content. Her dried apples were not 'natural' nor did they hold any great title. I can only assume the amount of chemicals used to keep those apples fresh inside the package.
It would be cheaper, and healthier, to go to the produce section of her grocery store, buy a bag of apples, and a box of ziplocs. Voila, convenient apple packs.
